SEWER/WATER DEPARTMENT LABORER

 

JOB POSTING

 

          The Town of Belmont is seeking a qualified individual for the position of Sewer and Water Department Laborer reporting to the Public Works Director. The successful candidate will perform a variety of routine skilled and unskilled manual laboring duties relating to wastewater pumping stations and wastewater collection systems and will cross train for coverage in the Water Department. The individual chosen for this position must possess a willingness to work with others including the general public. The position shares on-call schedule with the Water Department. Individual will also assist in winter snow removal operations in conjunction with the Highway Department. High School Diploma or equivalent is required; experience with wastewater operations and possession of a Grade 1 Water Distribution license is preferable but not required, must possess a valid NH License and pass a “CDL” physical, drug and alcohol screening and criminal background check as required by the Town.

TEMPORARY HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT TRUCK DRIVER/LABORER

JOB POSTING

 

            The Town of Belmont is seeking a qualified individual for the position of Temporary Highway Department Truck Driver/Laborer reporting to the Public Works Director. The successful candidate will perform a variety of routine skilled and unskilled manual laboring duties. The position requires a NH CDL “B” license with airbrake endorsement.   The individual chosen for this position must possess a willingness to work with others including the general public.  High School Diploma or equivalent is required; experience snow plowing and sanding with the operation of heavy trucks and a sander is necessary. Driver’s License and Criminal record check required, mandatory participation in the department’s Drug/Alcohol Screening Program as required by federal law. This is a temporary full-time, 40-hour position with mandatory overtime, beginning December 1, 2020 – April 1, 2021, with no benefits; pay will be commensurate with experience.
